Mickey: Worth upgrading i5-2400 to i7-2600 for light gaming and general use?

So I've been using my secondary/travel PC for the past week, and I've been noticing that the i5-2400 in it is ... well, at times it really bogs down. It's been fine for the games I've played, but even relatively light Windows tasks (search indexing, antimalware scans) can bog down the CPU completely for significant amounts of time. Now, this is a relatively old CPU, so it's hardly a surprise, but it's a tad annoying.
