Mickey: What is the PC monitors future trend in terms of resolution and aspect ratio?

A long, long time ago, we had CRT panels of 4 to 3 aspect ratio that averaged at 1024x768 (640x480 to 1600x1200, possibly with a couple models beyond these boundaries).
Then, 4 to 3 (1024x768) and 5 to 4 (1280x1024) first gen LCD panels.
After that, 16 to 10 (1280x800; 1440x900; 1680x1050; 1920x1200; 2560x1600) displays.
And then, 16:9 (1280x720; 1366x768; 1600x900; 1920x1080; 2560x1440; 3840x2160 etc).
