I have a Dell T3500 workstation, i could use external 2,5 disks for a half year and then the drives begins to disconnects. It is the same in all ports, i had the same problem in another computer with USB 2.0. I also got another computer with USB 2.0 were all of the same disks works fine. That Asus board is from 2005 so the USB 2.0 in my Dell from 2010 must be newer. Can the usb ports be broken if it needs to handle to much power?
