I had thermaltake toughfans running in my system (specs in profile) for about 6 months. at some point my computer started turning itself on at random, at least once every 48 hours but typically within 12 hours after shutting it down. i tried swapping just about very part, reinstalling OS, adding rubber washers for insulation from case, etc. it was driving me mad. but i never thought that the fans could be the culprit. in november, one of my thoughfans developed a grinding noise, so...
