Mickey: System freezes after replacing paste on a delidded 8700k

Aloha everyone!

So straight to the point, specs on the side.

I delidded my 8700k as soon as I got it back at release and used liquid metal instead, which has worked well for me ever since I got it several years ago. In recent times I felt like it ran hotter than normal and figured maybe it was time for a good dissasembly, clean and repaste.
