I'm playing around with displaying the PC on the smart TV over HDMI while the monitor is connected with a DP cable. Everything works fine by duplicating the display to the TV, but when I restart the PC I don't get anything on either. Then I have to restart with only the DP cable connected to the monitor, then reconnect HDMI to TV and all is well again. Is there a workaround for this? I'd rather not have to buy a switch.
