Mickey: S95B (OLED TV) with HDMI VRR disabled has a sharper and punchier image?

While trying to overclock my S95B to 144 Hz (works; VRR at 144 Hz doesn't work), I randomly noticed that the image sharpness in motion / motion clarity is sharper when VRR is disabled (both at 120 Hz). Now with 144 Hz and no VRR the image motion clarity has improved so much over 120 Hz with VRR enabled. I also feel like the image is punchier, but it may come from the image being sharper, idk. Am I imagining things or is it worth instigating further? Asking various AIs confirms this and found...
