Mickey: Random BSODs when creating custom resolution/refreshrate for Monitor (AMD / video...

i recently bought another cheap monitor from Asus (a simple 1080p/60Hz office Display)
it runs over HDMI 1.2 with a 6700XT and feels a bit slow at 60Hz.
creating a custom resolution in the Radeon Software works fine (just typing in 75Hz and apply)
after that i can set the monitor in the Windows Display settings to 75Hz and it just works.

but as soon as i do this i get random video memory management internal BSODs within a couple hours.
any ideas? is it a driver problem, a monitor problem...
