I have a Lenovo s20 workstation with a xeon x5550 and 12gb of ram I recently got my hands on a x5680 and wanted to upgrade since it's much more powerful. The problem i run into is when i try to boot it stays at that point where it's powered on but not posting. (When i boot the pc the fans ramp up for a few seconds and then idle, with the new cpu the fans ramp up and the computer gets stuck at that point) I've put back my x5550 and it booted right back into windows.
