Mickey: Is AMD Fluid Motion Frames a scam ?

Well , today I needed to install something different from AMD overlay which in my case was CapFrameX to see some extended graphs of my pc performance and guess what. No difference in CapFrameX with AMFF on/off... In AMD overlay it shows double the frames while in CapFrame it shows something like ''real % FPS'' ? Is that normal and why CapFrame would show me something different than it actually is ? Or the AMD is showing me something not right ? I know for sure that AMD overlay doesn't show...
