Often when I have an unstable PC and finally locate the source, it is sometimes enough to treat the contacts with silicone oil and the problem goes away... but am I really fooling myself? I wonder if the real issue is tin whiskers Whisker (metallurgy) - Wikipedia and that what I am really achiveing is disrupting those whiskers.
